1250, the Egyptian town of Mansurah: a clash between a French force led by King Louis IX of France and an Ayyubid host under Fakhr-ad-Din, and the Mamluk Baibars. Saint Louis has sworn to recapture Jerusalem. Baibars and his fellow Mamluks are equally determined to stop him. There, on the ancient Nile River, a key engagement will play out.
