From an all-Felix Mendelssohn concert at the 2017 Heifetz International Music Institute, a faculty all-star performance of the shimmering Octet, Op. 20. Violinists Mihaela Martin and Daniel Phillips join Nicholas Kitchen and Kristopher Tong of the Borromeo Quartet; the violists are Mai Motobuchi (Borromeo) and Jutta Puchhammer; and the cellists are Yeesun Kim (Borromeo) and Frans Helmersson. Captured in concert on July 21, 2017 at Francis Auditorium at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA.
