👋 Morning everyone 👋.

Whenever I help my students 👨‍🎓👩‍🎓 prepare for the B2 exam, one of the main issues I notice is their lack of vocabulary variety. Either when they express themselves orally 💬 or in writing ✍️, or even when they do the reading 📖 and listening 📻 comprehension exercises.

Mainly, they fall into A1/ A2-level words such as “good, bad, nice, pretty” 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️ which would result in them getting a much lower mark if they didn’t learn more appropriate synonyms 🆒 (not).

Which is why I’ve started helping them learn a new word every class to build up and achieve a much richer and more ample vocabulary.

And now I decided to share this little exercise with all of you (🆒). But how can you actually remember all these new words if you never use them 😳.

🎞️ Watch this short video
✍️ Write down the word yourself on your notebook
🗣️ Practice the pronunciation
📖 Read the example to see the word in context
Find two or three synonyms (or note down the ones I give you)
✍️ Write your own example in the comments 👇
📔 Create lists by topic/ type of words or find any other way of organizing yourself that you might find useful
📔 Revisit the word at least every 10 days to keep it in mind
