Despite decades of service to the Indian Army, despite medals and discharge papers, he was told: “Show your papers… or you’re Bangladeshi.” This is not just a story of harassment, it’s a story of betrayal. Of what happens when patriotism isn’t enough. When Muslim identity alone becomes a reason for suspicion. Police claim it was a routine check for illegal immigrants, but the family describes it as a night of fear and humiliation.
