The President of Lagos Achievers Lions Club, District 404A3 Nigeria, Lion Imeobong Oluwateniola Oluyemi says extension of hands of fellowship to the vulnerable in the society remains the best way to put a lasting impact on the people.
Imeobong made the assertion while speaking at the Club's Hunger Relief Project 2025, where food items were shared to residents of Ijeh Dolphin Community in Obalende, Lagos
She explained that an extension of act of Love and generosity to the Poor, Less Privilege and residents of rural communities in any Form remain one of the various ways Creating lasting memories and putting smile on their face.
She noted that with well-meaning Nigerians who are financially endowed to help in ameliorating the standard of Living of the Poor, communities will realize their vision of a future that is free from hunger and poverty.
She stated that touching the lives of people living in rural areas should not be left in the hands of the government while also seeking support and partnership with Lions Club to keep service to humanity going.
On his Part, a Representative of West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) Nigeria, Femi Emmanuel said that the role of Corporate social responsibility can not be underemphasized considering the High rate of Poverty and challenges in the country occasioned by various economic Policies by the Government.
