I'm the original owner since new in 1996. This model had just come out the day I bought it. May 1996.

I was astonished for the improvement of technology since 1987 (my first ever camcorder RCA CPR-250)

1987 CPR-250 6x zoom, B&W viewfinder,
manual date display. $1000

VS 1996 CC-436, 24x zoom, fader features,
date/time, titler, better low light handling and
color viewfinder, and better picture. $599!
