Drew Lindow of JOA Surveys will address the techniques and technology used to measure sea level, the physics of ocean tides and how they can be predicted, and NOAA's network of tide gauges in Alaska. Drew will also discuss long-term sea level change and coastal hazards in Alaska related to storm surges and coastal erosion, as well as some of the ongoing projects in the state to monitor and mitigate these risks.
