PETITTI Hellebores Lenten Rose | Grow for Shade, Spring Blooms, & Deer Resistance

There are few perennials that can rival the multi-season interest of Hellebores. Often Called Lenten Rose or Snow Rose, these gorgeous plants begin producing flowers long before the rest of the garden wakes up! Blooms begin to emerge in the late winter months and continue through spring and into the summer months. Along with long-lasting blooms, there is so much more Hellebores have to offer. They are deer and rabbit resistant, they require very little maintenance and they are fantastic growers in shady spots in the garden! While they do prefer to grow in the shade, most varieties will grow well in sunny areas if the ground is consistently kept moist. If you prefer the delicate look of white blooms, look for Ivory Prince and Ice n’ Roses White. For pink blooms, check out varieties such as Pink Frost, Ice n’ Roses Red, and Merlin.
