A strong earthquake has essentially just wiped out several 1,000+ person villages in Afghanistan, marking it as the 2nd deadliest earthquake of 2025. This earthquake occurred right before midnight, striking a mountainous region with many structures not built to withstand such earthquakes. Today's video analyzes why the earthquake damage was so severe through the knowledge and analysis of a geologist.
