Meloding Guest House

Tsakane Phila - owner of Meloding Guest House - first opened the doors to this establishment in 2013. It is situated in Bela-Bela, in the Waterberg district of Limpopo, and was opened with the intention of providing high quality accommodation to clients in the region.

The 6 bedroom establishment started with four employees; a manager, two housekeepers and a chef. The team had to become a jack of all trades as on many occasions their functions interloped. “We started from nothing really, we didn’t have much. We just used the little that we had”, says Tsakane.

Seda assisted with marketing, including material, branding, signage to the establishment, uniforms and brochures; as well as exhibiting at international shows like the mining indaba. This improved visibility, and provided easier identification of the business location. Contributing to the staff compliment doubling to 8 including security plus temporary workers for busy days.

The Seda interventions have contributed immensely to the growth of the business. And now a new challenge risen in the need for more rooms and a conference centre to meet demand.
