It is recommended to replace or inspect the transmission and rear differential fluid every 30,000 miles or 3 years. The process of replacing the fluid in your Subaru transmission and rear differential can be a little bit messy, but also fairly easy.

Note: Torque specs and socket sizes may of have changed through the years and models. Confirm your specific vehicle! Especially the rear diff has changed quite a few times.
