A Day with a Hillcrest Shay

Took a drive down to Duncan BC on July 28th and spent the whole day following the Hillcrest Lumber Company Shay #1 around the BC Forest Discovery Centre. Also got to see the little Plymouth #26 "The Green Hornet" as it took the water car around the property spraying water on the track to prevent sparks from starting any fires.

Even though the museum spent years rebuilding the Shay, they still need to make some adjustments to the old girl. If you ever get the chance to come to the Museum, she operates on the weekends through the Summer.
