A previously unexplored prospect has been identified in the area, which remains entirely unknown in terms of its geological, tectonic setting, and economic significance. This discovery holds the potential to provide new insights for future research and may contribute significantly to the understanding of the region's geology and resource potential.
A 9 meters long and nearly 6-8 inch-thick magnetite lens was observed at outcrop scale, along with several additional thick magnetite lenses hosted within mafic rocks, (gabbros and hornblendite), embedded in thick masses of hornblendite. These lenses, directly in contact with the surrounding gabbros, are an incredible geological feature. For a geologist, it is particularly captivating to observe the magnetic properties of these magnetite lenses. While hornblendite itself exhibits only weak magnetic attraction, the magnetite lenses display a remarkably strong response, visibly attracting a magnet even when thrown from a distance. This area, identified for the first time, holds significant potential for future exploration and presents promising prospects for economic development.
