Netflix’s Dark is a complicated tale about a fictional German small town called Winden. This video recaps the whole 8 episode second season of Dark. In season 2 we learned that a man named Adam leads a group of travelers called Sic Mundus. He says the group is waging a war against time itself, and many of the characters we’ve met follow him. On the other side is Claudia who is referred to as the “White Devil.”

Dark Season 2 brought back all the familiar characters from the Winden’s main families. The Nielsens, the Kahnwalds, the Tiedermanns, and the Dopplers. Everything is connected in Dark’s deterministic world, and the families are no exception. As we learn more about time travel and meet characters at different ages we find out the world is a knot as Adam says.

In the second season Jonas travels from 2053 back to 1921 before returning to the present time. We see his older self “The Stranger”, and learn that Adam is an older version as well. We see Magnus, Martha, Franziska, Elisabeth, and Bartosz in the 2020 timeline, but also see them begin to travel. We see older versions of some of them in different time periods as well.

This Dark season 2 recap covers everything that happened that you’ll want to remember before watching the next season. It explains the season 2 ending, and what Martha from the other world might mean for Jonas’ future.

Dark season 3 will be the final season of the Netflix series. We expect the showrunners to explain the answers to questions that we have had after the first two seasons. Time travel, the founding of Sic Mundus Creatus Est, Adam’s plan to destroy time, Claudia’s plan, and what will happen to Winden after the apocalypse. Will Jonas be able to break the loop, or will everything always be just how it always was.

DARK season 2
Jonas finds himself trapped in the future and desperately tries to return to 2020. Meanwhile, his friends Martha, Magnus, and Franziska are trying to uncover how Bartosz’ is involved in the mysterious incidents occurring in their small hometown of Winden. More and more people are drawn into the events orchestrated by an obscure figure who seemingly controls everything that is connected throughout different time zones.
