Well... I've covered the basics of the Pixie CW transmitter, and 'Frogs', so I may as well have a go at assembling one of the more complex Chinese QRP Morse code transmitters.

This one is supposed to be 8 watts, however me not being a licensed amateur, I won't be transmitting on the air with it for testing - but I will try one of its purported features to program in and 'send' (ie, through a dummy load) automated keyed Morse - if that even works... oh boy...

So, if I can't use it 'on air', why am I making it...? Well, the theory of radio intrigues me, so there's no reason why I can't at least dabble. It might motivate me to get licensed, and finally learn Morse code for QRP - which, if I'm honest, is the only facet of amateur radio I'm interested in anyway.

I was just checking through the parts and figured I'd whip something up just to let the dedicated handful of folks that watch my quirky shortwave vids what's going on.

The T2 toroidal winding already has me nervous, and this kit does have various bugs, but hey, at least it will give my brain something to chew on.
