Tryfan North Ridge and Glyder Horseshoe with epic cloud inversion

Описание к видео Tryfan North Ridge and Glyder Horseshoe with epic cloud inversion

Sorry, yet another Tryfan Ascent! But had to post due to the epic weather. A rare temperature inversion meant it was warmer at the top than the bottom of the mountain despite the huge wind gusts. The wind meant the drone could barely be flown but on the plus side, produced the most fantastic swirling cloud effects from the reservoir of cloud supressed in the valley on the Snowdon side, compared to the clear Ogwen side. Absolutely superb experience all round. Route took us from the Ogwen visitor centre up the North Ridge of Tryfan, down the south followed by an epic Grade1 scramble up Bristly Ridge via Sinister Gully. Then from Glyder Fach, across to Glyder Fawr and descending back to the car park via Devil's Kitchen past Llyn Ogwen and Idwal Slabs. Quite a day.
