This lecture will address what functional nutrition is, it's benefits to the patients, and how to integrate it into veterinary practice. It will give examples of how integrative modalities can expand their treatment options and be a complement to traditional veterinary medicine, improving patient outcomes. It will discuss the importance of nutrition and its relationship with the health of the body as well as how supplementing with whole food supplements can provide additional support to the body as a whole, but also specific systems.
