Some rear calipers require the piston to be spun in order for it to retract during your brake service.
There are several tools in the market that can perform this job.

Best tool is the rear caliper wind back tool and unfortunately I left that at work when I was servicing this car at home.
The Cube tool I used in this video works well but takes a little longer.
If you end up using pliers doing this, expect to spend quite some time because pliers slip out easily.
