In this video I will be installing Debian 10 Buster with the original Debian ncurses installer. I will be installing the XFCE DE using Virtualbox to record the install, after install I will install the Guest Additions, with a lot of messing around, however to be fair I was trying to run the VBoxLinuxAdditions.run file with the wrong command, I eventually worked it out. I also have a look at the repos and add the contrib and non-free.
eg- (non-free is for packages which are straight-up not free. The only requirement is that they are redistributable. The Debian project considers that non-free is not a part of Debian, and is only provided as a convenience for users.
contrib is for packages which are themselves free but depend on packages that are in non-free. It's also not considered a part of Debian. Hope you enjoy the video.

Commands used in the video

sudo apt-get update

"Command mentioned in the video for upgrade was" (sudo apt-get upgrade) the following command would be the better command

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Not sure if m-a prepare is a necessary step?

sudo apt install build-essential module-assistant dkms

sudo groupadd vboxusers
sudo usermod -a -G vboxusers (username)

sudo groupadd vboxsf
sudo usermod -a -G vboxsf (username)

cd /media/cdrom0/
ls
Look for VBoxLinuxAdditions.run

sudo sh ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run

Add Root Password - sudo passwd root
