Use this information to help you make informed clinical decisions. And to educate your patients.

[1:45] The 5 Blister Stages:
1️⃣ Blister-free
2️⃣ Hotspot
3️⃣ Intact Roof
4️⃣ Torn Roof (this is what we create when we lance a blister)
5️⃣ Deroofed

[2:11] Should you leave blisters intact?
🔵 Pros:
- Reduced infection risk
- No special gear needed
🔴 Cons:
- Can worsen over time
- May tear spontaneously
- Requires monitoring and care

[4:27] What about lancing blisters?
🔵 Pros:
- Pain relief
- Controlled environment
- Smaller opening (lower infection risk)
🔴 Cons:
- Risk of infection
- Requires gear and expertise
- Ongoing care needed

[6:13] Or should you deroof blisters?
🔵 Pros:
- Antiseptic access
- Better cleaning
- Won't refill
