A Lake Taupo Adventure: Mountain Bike, Climb and Sail

Another epic adventure in this video. My friends Andy and Katherine had 3 days to sail the boat and travel about, but I only had one. So I decided to make it happen.

They positioned the boat (A 1980 Davidson M20 trailer sailor) after an incredible sail on Lake Taupo back to the Western Bays. I drove to Kinloch, cycled over a big hill and joined them for a half day rock climbing mission followed by an afternoon sail in very calm conditions. We stayed overnight in Kawakawa bay on the western side of Lake Taupo, feasting on the rainbow trout we caught trolling on the lake. The next morning I had an early start, Mountain Biking on the Great Lake trails back to Kinloch to get the car, to drive back home and be ready for work.

So.... cycling, rock climbing, sailing, fishing for trout, staying overnight in the Western Bays on Lake Taupo, Mountain Biking from Kawakawa Bay to Kinloch and drive back to Taupo to breakfast. Mission accomplished. All the elements worked out perfectly once again.
