FLORIDA KEEPS GETTING BETTER!- Bonita Beach Dog Park + OSCAR SCHERER + KORESHAN STATE PARK

We absolutely love camping in our Winnebago Revel Van in Florida State Parks. You may think that it’s impossible to find spots at the more popular parks during the winter season and well... you’d almost be right. You have to have patience and you have to be diligent in your search... and... you have to be flexible.

Our Florida winter trip continues with stops at two great hard to get spots on Florida’s Gulf coast. Starting with Oscar Scherer State Park where not only was the park a jewel but it is very close to a great beach to watch sunsets and man did we get to see a jaw-dropping sunset at Nokomis Beach.

We then hopped down to Koreshan State Park where we loved the historic aspects of this park as well as the biking, hiking and the awesome river to paddle in. But the jewel here was watching Maggie enjoy the Bonita Beach Dog Park where she got to romp around in crystal clear water with more playful dogs than she could count. If you’re looking for the most unique and fun dog beach park in Florida then this might just be it. It’s a little tricky, as in you have to wade through water at high tide, to get to the beach. But once you do you’ll find hundreds of dogs romping around playing in the water. It’s a beautiful place to take your chairs, bring a picnic and find a quiet little spot to just take in the sunny beautiful weather.

Many of you tell us that your favorite part of our videos would be the Griddle Me This segments where Owen cooks up something that is usually tasty on the Blackstone Griddle. And then there’s the Happy Dance from a man who literally can’t dance a lick. This week’s GRIDDLE ME THIS... A BBQ Chicken Pizza on our Blackstone Griddle... whew what a HAPPY DANCE!

And as we give you our review of Koreshan State Park we fill you in on some news. You see we were supposed to start our journey back to NC after this stop and get the van ready to go in the shop to repair the damage to our 2021 Winnebago Revel van from the ice storm accident. But as you’ll learn, that has been delayed so instead of going back to NC we head even further south as we test out our flexibility, patience and diligence when we try to book campsites at 3 our of all-time favorite campgrounds.
