1 82 CAV 2024 AT

Oregon Army National Guard Soldiers from Alpha and Charlie Troops,1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry Regiment, ended their 2024 annual training with a focus on maneuver exercises at BIAK Training Center, Powell Butte, Ore., June 19-27.

The Troops conducted various exercises to include movement to contact, force on force, observation post deployment, and military operations in urban terrain (MOUT).

Soldiers from 1-82 also had the opportunity to practice sling load operations with a CH-47 Chinook helicopter from 1-168 AVN out of Pendleton, Ore.

This training will help prepare 1-82 for their Exportable Combat Training Capabilities (XCTC) rotation in 2025.
