This is a method to help you try to reset your Honeywell gas valve on your water heater. In this particular instance it was a "7 blinks" (gas control failure) error code. However you can try this for several different codes and it might work for you. It is imperative that you get the water heater pilot flame lit and hold the (round) button in for at least 2 minutes because sometimes if you do not hold it in long enough -even if the controller starts blinking - and you let go of the (round) button; the thermopile can't generate enough power (millivolts) to generate the proper error codes.
