Cooking in Copper: What Not To Cook

Описание к видео Cooking in Copper: What Not To Cook

I've been doing videos on what to cook in copper, and how, but not what NOT to cook and what NOT to do. So, this video is all about cooking...and not cooking the wrong way or the wrong things!

There's very little you cannot do in tin-lined copper, and there are several myths or misconceptions about it, which easily get mixed up with cast iron lore. Basically, it's possible to do everything you do in a cast iron skillet in tin-lined copper except sear or do high high temperature frying like stir fry.

And yes, you can use red wine and tomatoes in tin-lined copper. People usually prefer not to do so in cast iron, but tin-lined wares are fine. Yes, some foods might make the tin oxidize a bit faster, but it is still completely safe and usable.

As always, please feel free to comment, give thoughts, input, opinions, and preferences - this is all about the love of cooking and cookware in the end, and sharing is caring ;) :)
