It's not How MUCH you talk, it's HOW you talk !

Simple strategies used consistently yields the best results

TRY

1. Using gestures along with Speech

2. Commenting on what they see can be so effective to improve children's comprehension, because seeing is believing

3. Be in their Eye level, face to face while to you talk and play, helps them to observe your facial expressions and speech

4. Use direct simple language, they will be able to pick up faster. Eg - "Give me the ball"
"Let's play " !

Instead of - Give me the ball so we can play.

5. 🦉 OWL is an Acronym for Observe, Wait and Listen - Often parents bombard children by talking so continuously.

But the 🗝️ is to observe, what the child's current status is, wait for the child's responses and subtle cues, Listen and repeat the child's utterances.
