🎆 Finally back home for New Year! After 6 years in Japan, I got to celebrate with my family in the province. and it felt so different, so real, and so full of joy 🥹💛

In this vlog, we go to the wet market to pick up simple food, prepare a homemade barbecue sauce for the first time, marinate meat, and even make some graham dessert 🍖🍰. I also tried making homemade dishwashing liquid (a simple money-saving hack!), and of course, we decorated a little for the celebration.

Growing up, my grandpa used to cook for us, so I never really tried cooking, but thanks to YouTube, I’m learning little by little. This New Year was special not just because of the food, but because I got to experience Filipino family life again, laughing, joking, and enjoying the small moments that make life meaningful ❤️

✨ Life abroad in Japan taught me a lot about patience and appreciating the little things. But being home reminds me of the joy, warmth, and cheerfulness of Filipino culture, no matter what challenges we face.
