USS O'Brien DD 415 - "Coming Apart at the Seams"

September 15th, 1942 - the aircraft carrier USS Wasp was sunk and the battleship USS North Carolina was damaged by a torpedo spread fired from the Japanese submarine I-19. There was a 3rd US ship hit that day that often gets lost in the discussion of the incident, or barely mentioned, but who still deserves to have her story known - the destroyer USS O'Brien.
