Amir Elkabiry, was discovered hiding in the trunk of a car. He was clutching a gun upon discovery. And the car in which he was hiding was right outside the apartment complex where a man was found injured from a bullet wound.

The victim, Melly Mel Smith, would die shortly after being transported to the hospital. In the meantime, Amir would be transported to the police station for questioning. After a bit of research, detectives determined Amir to be the prime suspect in the shooting, and not just for his suspicious behavior in hiding inside a car’s trunk immediately after the shooting.
