Boat Fuel System Problem - DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS ON YOUR BOAT!

During your restoration project it's the perfect time to inspect things like your electrical connections, structure hardware, and YOUR FUEL SYSTEM! This fuel tank was in great shape after a little scrub down with soap and water. The vent hose and fill hose were completely fine and reusable. HOWEVER, the anti-siphon barbed fitting was corroded beyond what you'd believe. This is an aluminum anti-siphon fitting that we removed, and we will be replacing it with a brass anti-siphon fitting. We're glad we caught this issue, and it's a simple fix that could have easily been overlooked by someone trying to save money by reusing or overlooking details!
