I can't say too too much about this challenge because I didn't spend that much time on it. I nearly downed Agatha on my very first attempt, but I didn't know which Imps did what and I died. Then, on my next attempt, Agatha bit the dust. Unlike the Arcane challenge, this particular challenge seems to be heavily influenced by gear and can be mostly trivialized by high DPS.

My strategy was to burn her (Fire pun intended) down to 50% HP as quickly as possible (to force her to begin her transition), kill the imps as they spawn (prioritizing the Umbral Imps), use Dragon's Breath as an AoE interrupt when imps are channeling on to her, and don't get hit by the smoldering fell boulders that are rolling towards you.

75 - Frenetic Speed
90 - Flame Patch
100 - Meteor

TIPS AND TRICKS:

1) Use and abuse the heal from Cauterizing Blink (with shimmer)
Massively helpful in this encounter to keep your health stabilized. * * So, don't shimmer if you don't need to so that you can heal yourself when it's necessary later on (though this shouldn't be too much of a problem)

2) Use Scorch when you're moving
This provides a small amount of damage (as opposed to zero while you're moving)
* The movement speed buff from Frenetic Speed can also be quite useful.

3) Combo the use of Pheonix Flames into Flamestrike to burst down closely stacked Umbral Imps
Pheonix Flames' chain damage is huge against all of the imps

4) Proper use of Flamestrike (with Flame Patch talented) will mostly take care of the lesser important packs of imps.

5) Try and kite the exploding imps to the edge of the area so that they drop the green pools in a location that's out of your way.

I used Prydaz (neck) and Shard of the Exodar (ring)
Though there would be plenty of other viable options for this encounter
