Remove unwanted video portions seamlessly in Camtasia

How to remove a portion of a video that you don't want to show in Camtasia, but at the same time keep any webcam or camera video going, without interruption.

In this quick Camtasia tip, I show you the procedure I use all the time when it comes to editing around a portion of a video that I don't want to show, maybe in a tutorial where the presenter is still explaining things but they are also browsing their local computer for files, switching applications or displaying sensitive data for a brief few seconds.

In this video, I show you several Camtasia functions that help you work around that and create a seamless transition from the video without interruptions. We use the split tool in Camtasia, to cut a video before and after the region we want to remove, then we extend the last frame to fill the gap. The only thing not moving will be the mouse cursor perhaps, but that will be unnoticeable.
