VIG Excellence: Reviewing LuxWall's Vacuum Insulated Glass Sample

Got to review a full-scale vacuum insulated glass (VIG) sample from LuxWall, Inc. & boy did it look good…

Leigh Anne Mays shared some insights around the assembly design considerations.

◾️Port - this is where the air is sucked out of the cavity to create the vacuum. Aesthetics and placement of the port are worth noting.
◾️Pillars - many are concerned around the aesthetics of the micropillars separating the two panes of glass. Frankly, I could barely see it without squinting (although my eyesight is subpar). Hardly noticeable from a close distance.

I continue to believe VIG is a tremendous solution for lightweight high-performance glazing.
