"Team (Composed of Harris, Bornet, & Zidek) History for 12 November to 18 November 1944):
16 Nov: Still raining. Chose route at Division CP through forest for Raon L’Etape battle. Road from Bertrichamps through to Raon under kraut observation. Rough muddy going through forest. Even engineers are body down. No activity anywhere. Returned to Bertrichamps area. Three sections of artillery in an open field close to each other provided 200 ft for Bornet, 6 stills for Harris. Darkness forced Bornet to call it a day. Harris shot a pack of hometowns at 10th Field Hospital."

"From “The History of the 375th Field Artillery Battalion”:
Early on the morning of 16 November the Battalion infiltration to a new area in Bertrichamps. The next day we fired in support of the 398th in its attack from Bertrichamps. The Battalion Commander spent much of his day at the 2nd Battalion CP with the Regimental Commander, firing missions on mortars and machine gun nests. It was also during this period that Walsh and Nersessian of Headquarters Battery maintained a forward relay and switch-board under enemy observation."
