First convert your gbc rom into a gba rom

Drag and drop the rom and a sav file onto your SD card

You can create the sav file with an emulator on your PC or smartphone

Important is that the rom and the sav file have the same name, like in my example "Pokemon Silber"

Now start your game on your Game Boy or NDS

With L + R you get to the main menu

First set autoload on, then press save in your game

Now press R + Select
and L + R to exit

Now go right to your sav file and save it to the SD card

Your GB/GBC game is now saved!
