Asmita Sarkar, a resident of Malda, West Bengal got the opportunity to do her Master's Research at Oxford University. She will travel to England to pursue her Master's Research in History of Science, Medicine and Technology. There were only 3 seats at Oxford University for research on this subject. Students from different countries of the world sent proposals for that seat. Asmita occupied one of the seats in terms of merit. Her family is very proud of Ashmita's achievement.

অক্সফোর্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে মাস্টার্স রিসার্চের সুযোগ পেলেন মালদার অস্মিতা সরকার। হিস্ট্রি অফ সায়েন্স মেডিসিন অ্যান্ড টেকনোলজির উপর মাস্টার্স রিসার্চ করতে মালদা যাবেন তিনি। এই বিষয়ে গবেষণার জন্য মাত্র 3টি আসন ছিল অক্সফোর্ড বিশ্বিদ্যালয়ে। বিশ্বের নানা দেশে থেকে ওই আসনটির জন্য প্রস্তাব পাঠান পড়ুয়ারা। মেধার নিরিখে তারই একটি আসন দখল করেন অস্মিতা। ওই ছাত্রীর কৃতিত্বে গর্বিত পাড়া প্রতিবেশী থেকে মালদাবাসী।
