The headstones of five servicemen who died in the two World Wars were rededicated in Stanton Road Cemetery on Saturday November 1st 2014. The original gravestones were removed in 1947 but new ones were installed in March this year by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

The soldiers remembered at the wreath laying and rededication were Gunner Albert Aram of the Royal Garrison Artillery who died 16th June 1919 aged 21; Private Samuel Bonser of the 18th (Queen Mary's Own) Hussars who died 3rd August 1918 aged 33; Private William Clewes, of the 16th Battalion The Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment) who died 2nd August 1915 aged 42; Private Paul Harrison of the 4th Battalion The Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment) who died aged 26 on 28th November 1918 and Gunner Patrick Moloney of the Royal Artillery who died on 30th December 1945 aged 30.
