Free Zayn | Trapped by his RCA record label

In 2015, Zayn Malik left One Direction because he was not able to have much of a creative input, he felt micro-managed and developed an eating disorder. He late signed with RCA records but things seems to have got complicated with time. On the 11th of February 2020, #FreeZayn was trending on Twitter.
That night, speculation began mounting that Zayn was unhappy with his label, causing a whirlwind on social media. The trend was started by Zayn Malik fans because they’re concerned about his treatment by his record label, RCA Records.
Specifically, there are allegations that his vocals have been sent by his label to other artists and producers without his consent.
