RADHA ABHISAAR by Dr Manju Elangbam

"3rd Rajarshi Bhagyachandra Solo Dance Festival" 27th Feb' 2024.

RADHA ABHISAAR: The Abhisaar of Radha adorning herself beautifully for the eagerness to meet with Krishna by facing the obstacles from the elders, family, society and the dangerous path in the jungle to reach to the lord Krishna. The specialty in this dance is that, the composer created it as a war with Madan, the lord of love. The war of spiritual love apart from the physical one makes it a little bolder and arrogant in gestures apart from other Abhisaars of Radha.
The dance was composed by Prof Yaikhom Hemantakumar and expanded with the addition of some Punlon Jagois by Dr Manju Elangbam.
Taalas such as Taanchap Mapi and Menkup are used.
