The Inkel MX-1100 is a mixer from the 90ies made in Korea. I got it for 19 € on eBay because i was curious about the built in BBD delay. Although the delay was a disappointment i learnt to love the rest of the mixer. Simplistic circuit design, individual channel PCBs, clever hardware and great quality of parts.

I always wanted a performance mixer with BIG accessible channel muting buttons and the UNMUTE ALL feature. So this mixer was the right victim to give it a try: a Raspi Pi reads some capacitive touch buttons and switches LEDs on and off which are shining on LDRs (light dependent resistors) being put in the channel's signal path. The channel muting schematics on 2:12 are from the web. To further improve the Level attenuation of the mute, there should be a second muting stage before the OpAmp pulling it's input signal to GND. I ditched this part, what i heard with one stage was good enough for me.

The mixer also got a PT2399 delay replacement for the BBD, 4 more inputs and a groovy new panel design.
