On this week's Forbidden Talk, we shall be discussing "Concepts of Beauty in the Middle East" with a particular focus on "Beauty Pageants". Although not ostensibly taboo in the West, "Beauty Pageants" have a complex and often contradictory relationship with the Middle East. We shall be exploring this, as well as the differing perceptions of beauty across the Middle East.
