Simulated air traffic control scenario using openScope, a free and open-source software for air traffic control training. In this video, I use point merge sequencing to sequence and organize arriving traffic to Oslo Airport Gardermoen (ENGM/OSL) in Norway, one of the busiest airports in the country. Both runway 01L and runway 01R are active for approach, and no departures are simulated. (except for 2 departures in the beginning)

About point merge sequencing:
The point merge system is a method developed to improve safety, fuel usage, and efficiency during the sequencing of approaching aircraft. It was first put in use by Avinor in Norway at Oslo Airport Gardermoen and later implemented at airports worldwide.

Timelapse of a 1-hour simulation session.
