At AOC 2025, Matt Radice, Director of Market Intelligence at Times Microwave Systems, previewed the company’s upcoming Levitate cable product line, currently in the teaser phase ahead of its formal market release. Designed specifically for unmanned aerial vehicle applications, Levitate targets UAV groups three through five, where lightweight, high-performance cable solutions are critical.

The Levitate lineup includes multiple configurations tailored for both internal and airframe use. Three variants are designed as line-replaceable unit assemblies for inside-the-box applications, offered in 0.047, 0.086, and 0.141 cable sizes. In addition, airframe assemblies connect LRUs to antennas and include a 0.196 cable size, with a 0.157 variant also planned. These options provide flexibility across a range of UAV system architectures.

Matt highlighted that Levitate is the lightest-weight cable per unit of loss that Times Microwave Systems has ever manufactured. This performance enables longer flight times and extended range, directly supporting the demanding SWaP requirements of modern UAV platforms. The product line will be available through distribution in multiple configurations, with various connector options including SMP, SMA, and TNC, as well as different cable lengths.
