Bobbin lace making: How to make a four tallies junction

In this video I will show how to make a four tallies junction. Below is a summary of the actions. I recommend to either print or write them down so that you can have the summary next to your pillow while making. Therefore you don't need to see this video all the time. The video's purpose is to help understanding of the summary.


1. Treat the pairs as individual threads:
make a cross for the pairs on the left and on the right

2. Now treat two real life pairs as a single thread. Make:
a cross
a twist to both pairs
place a pin
a cross

(Basicly this makes a cloth stitch that has the pin inside itself.)

3. Return the pairs to their correct locations by repeating the 1st phase, which is making a cross for both pairs.
