Paypal Bitcoin Scam Email PDF Invoice, Explained (2024)

This video is all about this Paypal Bitcoin scam email PDF invoice. This email might look to be an estimate or invoice from the company or from another user, but you do not owe any money. It’s a scam. Do not click any links or call any phone numbers in these email messages. Scammers are attempting to lure out of you personal information, financial data, credit and debit card numbers, Social Security numbers, etc.

Sometimes these Paypal Bitcoin Exchange invoice scam emails with the fake estimate or invoice will ask you to click a link that’s supposed to resolve an issue with your account or will supposedly allow you to make a needed payment. Again, don’t click these links.

Alternatively, scammers include their phone numbers in these emails. The phone numbers that appear on the Paypal Bitcoin Exchange invoice email scam invoice or estimate go straight to the scammers. They are not official phone numbers associated with Paypal. I reviewed one that was (888) 826-0413. Do not call these numbers, as the scammers will try their hardest to convince you that you need to give them your data to resolve a problem. Don’t do it.

In order to combat the Paypal Bitcoin Exchange invoice email scam, don’t mess with the fake invoice or estimate. Instead, change your password and make it strong. Also, enable two-factor authentication. If you don’t know how to do that, simply go to Google and type Paypal two-factor authentication. Those results will lead you to a credible page where you can set it up.

Two-factor authentication adds an additional layer of security on top of just having a password. In the future, when you log out of Paypal and need to log back in, Paypal will text you or ask you to send them a code from a code generator. Only enter that code on the official Paypal website, Paypal.com. Never, ever, for any reason whatsoever, give passwords or codes to scammers. Paypal will never ask you to confirm a verification code or password over the phone.
