VAM Concertante String Orchestra

Concertante aims to rekindle the storied past of VAM's former ensemble, "Academy Strings" (1980-1996) that was led by then Violin Department Head Ms Gwen Thomson. Incorporating the tradition of European string orchestras that perform without a conductor, Condertante membership consists of VAM's elite string players who comprise the ranks of the weekly violin, viola, cello,and bass seminars.
