Before Dawn

It was an exciting morning when I got into my blind before dawn and a couple minutes later, I see a big outline of a bear where I was just standing minutes before. After looking at the video I believe it was Sootie and just as it was getting light enough to see him better, he decided it was time for him to go. But I stayed put hoping to see something else and after an hour Pippen showed up looking better than ever. I could tell a bear was coming by watching the squirrels. I think getting plenty to eat helped him get over the mange and the only thing he is scratching now is the ground trying to get some more food. I know now why he is so nervous; it is because a big male is still around. And when he took off like a rocket, I thought I might see another bear, but it must have been a false alarm as he came back quickly to finish his meal.
