Today we'll be taking a look at Let's Go Aero Gear Space 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches. It's available in dark grey, part number HGK 819 and in light grey, part number HGK 826. This extra large weather-proof cargo carrier holds sporting goods, camping gear, work equipment and more. It can even hold 2 bikes with the addition of part number HGK 970. It comes with everything you need to be safe and legal when you're headin' down the road, including a license plate bracket, illumination for your license plate, and 2 tail lights. These just connect with a standard 4-pole connection. We have our running lights, left turn, right turn, and brake lights.
The wide-mouth clam shell style lid provides us easy access to our cargo and makes loading and unloading easy. It offers 34 cubic feet of space and has a 300 pound weight capacity. The inside even features a drain plug, so you can easily clean it out. In case you we're worried you wouldn't be able to access the rear of your vehicle, it slides out, giving you full access to your rear hatch. It even features a safety cable so we cannot extend it too far.
The rounded-style design makes it more aerodynamic. It's perfect for use with large SUV's, RV's and trucks. It features an anti-rattle hitch pin as well as an anti-rattle pin here on the slide-out rails to help reduce movement and vibration. The overall dimensions here on the outside are 68 inches long, 33 inches wide and 40 inches tall, while the inside dimensions are 63 inches long, 28 inches wide and 40 inches tall. If you need some more clearance here at the rear of your vehicle to get it installed, it is adjustable 5 inches along the rails, and it features 2 hitchman holes, so choose which one works best for you. It features 2 pin style locks, 1 for the front and 1 for the rear so you can keep your cargo secure.
Now let's go ahead and load up about 300 pounds of weight and then take it out on our test course and see how it performs. Here on our test course, let's first go into our slalom. This is going to show side to side action, such as going around corners, or evasive maneuvering. Then on to our alternating speed bumps, this is going to show a twisting action, such as going over potholes, or uneven pavement. Then finally, onto our solid speed bumps, this is going to show an up and down action, such as pulling in and out of a driveway or out of a parking lot. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed. First thing we'll do is we'll go ahead and slide the platform into our receiver tube, and line up our pinholes.
We're going to go with our second pinhole here, and then we'll take our included anti-rattle bolt and clip and thread that through. Once we get that hand-tightened, you can take a 7 eighths wrench or socket and tighten it down. The nice thing about the anti-rattle bolt is it's going to help reduce play and rattle within our receiver and our platform here, to make for a nice solid ride for our cargo box. Now we can take our gear space box and slide it onto the rails. Now you're going to need an extra set of hands to do this because it is fairly heavy. We're just going to line up with the 2 rails. Once we've got them lined up, we can just slide it on. Then we'll of course want to connect our safety cable, then we'll take our second anti-rattle bolt and thread that through here. This is going to help prevent it from sliding. Then we can just hook up our 4-pole connection, and just like that, we're ready to load up and hit the road. That's going to complete our look at the Let's Go Aero Gear Space 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches.
