Walt Disney's "An Adventure in Color and Mathmagic Land" Season 8 Ep 1

From Season 8 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 1: An Adventure in Color and Mathmagic Land which originally aired on September 24th, 1961. A new era in television begins for Walt Disney as he moves his show to NBC and begins broadcasting in color. To heighten the impact that color will portray in his shows, Walt discusses the early black and white days of the movies. The arrival of Technicolor, seen in clips from "Flowers and Trees" and "Fantasia," allowed moviemakers to present their product in lifelike color. The final portion of the program is a presentation of the 1959 theatrical release "Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land," in which the intrepid duck finds himself in a strange land where mathematical formulas and odd creatures abound.
