LET DEATH LIVE - uah performance at UM, extracts - 05/03/2022

LET DEATH LIVE, new album by uah out March 2022, explores the cycles of life & death, grief & joy, loss & acceptance, and pays tribute to the people – and a time of life – that we’ve lost during the pandemic.

These are some extracts from the final live show in Shoreditch, London, after a run of three nights.

The album performed live is largely instrumental and electronic but some tracks build on a choral format inspired in part by Missa Luba, with uah performing, looping and layering all parts from tenor to soprano, occasionally manipulated to create ‘impossible’ sounds.

All visuals are generated in real-time, reacting to the music, much of it improvised, and also to the sounds and movement of the audience themselves, an experiment in making them active participants in the performance.
